Qualifying for PPA’s Paid Plasma Donation Studies for Cytomegalovirus (CMV)
Physician’s Plasma Alliance’s Cytomegalovirus (CMV) disease research studies pay $500 or more every time you donate plasma to
help our Cytomegalovirus research, depending on what stage of the infection you are in.
PPA can prequalify you anywhere in the world, and can provide updated testing to monitor your Cytomegalovirus antibody levels
(your immune system’s response to the CMV virus) locally to you. If/when your antibody levels meet our study requirements, PPA
would pay for an all-expenses paid trip to our facility in Gray TN, at your convenience. We can accommodate same-day departure
and return travel, or participation over weekends or holidays, or any time that is convenient for you.
How To Sign-up for the Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Paid Plasma Study
The first thing we need to know is when you believe you were first infected with Cytomegalovirus (CMV), and whether or not you
are still symptomatic. When you Contact Us, please be sure you include this information, or ask your doctor for a copy of your
diagnosis and blood work, which we will need to prequalify you.
Our Cytomegalovirus studies currently require a positive CMV IgM antibody result, which can be positive for up to a year after your
initial infection. It would be helpful if you could have a copy of your test results available when you contact PPA so that our study
coordinators can more easily determine whether or not you may qualify.
